Before contacting support
Motorola provides support via telephone and email for Avtec Scout™ systems with an active ScoutCare Maintenance Contract. Before contacting Avtec Support, please ensure you have first contacted your Tier 1 support person. If your Tier 1 support person cannot resolve the issue, they will escalate the issue to Avtec.
When calling or emailing, please have the following information available:
- Your Motorola Customer Number and Site ID (available in the Account Management section of Customer Hub under “Account Details”)
- Version of Avtec Scout Software
- Severity of issue - minor, major or critical
While most issues are resolved quickly, every service request will be logged and assigned a case number for tracking and follow-up. Need non-emergency support outside of standard business hours? Special arrangements can be made with advance notice.

Return Material Authorization (RMA)
Avtec products are designed for superior reliability and durability. However, if an advanced replacement is necessary, please request a RMA number to begin the process.
