Idaho State Police embrace evolution to NG9-1-1
Evolving to achieve flexibility in a mobile world
Discover how the Idaho State Police (ISP) underwent a technology evolution that not only helped them overcome challenges, but also helped them save valuable time.
Idaho State Police (ISP)
ISP operates two Regional Communications Centers (RCC) to serve as secondary PSAPs or Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) to those in Idaho’s counties. As one of the fastest growing states, ISP needed a solution to assist them in call routing and dispatch services.
Effectively dispatch services
With over 280,000 calls, emergency dispatchers needed a solution to effectively route calls and dispatch services for their counties.
Provide a flexible solution
Dispatchers face many challenges.ISP needed a flexible technology solution for their dispatchers to allow them to overcome their unique challenges.
Deploy a NG9-1-1 solution
With an increasing dependence on cell phones, ISP required a solution to enable them to better respond to wireless callers by having the technology to quickly pinpoint a caller’s location.
The evolution to NG9-1-1
As part of a major technology evolution, ISP upgraded a 40+ year old call handling system with CallWorks CallSation, as well as their radio consoles.
An integrated, cost-effective solution to tackle the transition to NG9-1-1. CallWorks CallStation allows dispatchers to easily manage voice, text to-9-1-1 calls, and mapping from anywhere.
MCC 7500 IP Dispatch Console
A Project 25 (P25) dispatch solution that offers dispatchers integration capabilities to reach across multiple applications and resources for enhanced response coordination.
Our team likes the flexibility of CallWorks CallStation. They can ask me to fix the speed dial button or add something, and I can do it instantly.
