CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES

OFFER VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. SUBMITTING A CONTEST ENTRY BY ANY OF THE MEANS IDENTIFIED BELOW CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES.

Eligibility:  This contest is open to residents of the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. All other contest entries are subject to applicable laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. Making a purchase does not increase your chance of winning. You must be 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry in order to enter. Eligibility is limited to new and existing partners, new and existing integrators, and new and existing end users, as set forth below.  

Sponsor:  Motorola Solutions Inc., located at 500 W. Monroe St., Chicago, IL 60661, is the “Sponsor” of this contest.

Duration of Contest:  The contest begins at 9:00 A.M. CST on March 18, 2020 and ends at 5:00 P.M. CST on March 20, 2020.  

Methods of Entry:  The manner of entry begins with a valid registered user profile, including declaring the type of visitor you are (e.g. Partner, Integrator, End User). Users may then participate in activities noted in the contest description to collect points. User profiles with the greatest number of points will be subject to verification of eligibility and for completion of activities for which points were awarded. Once verification is complete and accurate points are awarded, the appropriate prize will be awarded to the highest points earner. All contest entries become the property of Sponsor. Entries will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, corrupted, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, or not otherwise correctly received due to technical, administrative, or human error, including, but not limited to, any software, hardware, computer or networking issues, or any other circumstances – technical or otherwise – beyond Sponsor’s control. At its sole discretion, Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this contest if it appears that the integrity, security, or administration of this process may be called into question.

Prizes:  Eight (8) trips for two (2) people for two (2) nights to Vancouver, Canada plus a tour of the Avigilon Factory. Two (2) trips for two (2) people for two (2) nights to Chicago, IL plus a tour of the Motorola Solutions Innovation Center. Sixty (60) H5M outdoor dome cameras, each with one (1) Avigilon Control Center™ license. The approximate retail value of all prizes in total is fifty thousand dollars ($50,000). The odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries received. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions, limitations or prohibitions may apply. IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES: Your eligibility to win any of the prizes is contingent on a determination by Sponsor that the offer and acceptance of the prizes is permitted by government gift, ethics, procurement, and other laws. Sponsor reserves the right to decline to issue prizes on this or any other basis.

Selection of Winners:  Prize winners will be determined based on contestant eligibility and total points accumulated for engagement activities completed within the showcase. Where two or more contestants have accumulated the same number of points resulting in a tie, the tiebreaker shall be the earliest date and time of registration for this event. The prize winners will be notified on April 1, 2020 via email. In the event that ownership of an e-mail account is disputed, the prize will be awarded to the individual who is designated as the authorized account holder by the Internet Service Provider or other entity responsible for assigning email addresses for that domain. Failure of the prize winners to respond within 7 business days may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate prize winner. An alternate prize winner will be selected based on scoring in the event the prize cannot be awarded.  

Prize Restrictions:  All prize winners must sign an “Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability” prepared by Sponsor. All taxes in connection with the prize, and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. You are only eligible to receive one prize from Sponsor per calendar year. Delivery of prize will be made by April 30, 2020.

Limitation of Liability:  By participating and/or accepting a prize, entrants and prize winners agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, their officers, directors, employees and agents, successors and assigns, (collectively, the “Released Parties”) against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest. In addition, the winner agrees that the Released Parties shall have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize. Sponsor makes no warranties – either express or implied – regarding a particular prize’s merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Conditions:  Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner(s). Winner(s) will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent, including a winner’s full Social Security Number, for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Sponsor in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.     

Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person (and all of their entries) from the contest and to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the contest. Any attempt by an entrant to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. The Released Parties are not responsible for any part of a contest prize that cannot be awarded due to acts of god, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism or other factors beyond Sponsor’s control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the contest, you understand and agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved by Sponsor.
