National Police Week is a time to respect, honor and remember officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and to celebrate all of the men and women who serve our communities with valor. We are humbled to share the stories of seven fallen heroes, while recognizing with heartfelt gratitude the millions of others who have devoted their lives to policing.
Ofc. Jonny Castro: About the artist
Officer Jonny Castro is a 17-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department. Officer Castro has been painting portraits of fallen heroes and victims of crime for the last 7 years, and has completed over 1,300 portraits to date. Each one is painted, printed and shipped out to the families and departments.
