From the constantly-recording Avigilon cameras, to the superior audio quality radios, our solution is interoperable, meaning all the technologies work in unity. As such, they can be managed and monitored from a single interface, transforming situational awareness for GDS staff and allowing them to stay connected, informed and prepared. It also means that should staff need to, they can seamlessly and securely share information and footage with local police.

• When an incident occurs on campus, security staff can easily search the Avigilon Unity Video system to find relevant footage. They can then use those images to search the entire video stream for any further related footage, making incident investigations four times quicker.

• The camera system proved invaluable when a student with a speech impairment misplaced her essential piece of medical equipment. Using an online image of the device to search for its likeness in the video database, staff were able to locate it within seconds.  

• Powered by AI and and video analytics technologies, the Avigilon camera system’s Focus of Attention interface provides live video monitoring. It will instantly notify the GDS security team should it detect a person, vehicle or item that has been previously flagged in the system.
