Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service needed an incident recording system that would simplify day-to-day tasks for their dispatchers and frontline workers, while also adding value and efficiency to the broader FRS. They wanted a solution that met and exceeded basic functionalities as required by the Home Office - in particular, they were looking for a solution that emphasised ease of reporting, and enabled them to complete Freedom of Information (FOI) requests more quickly.
3tc (now a Motorola Solutions company) worked closely with Gloucestershire FRS to ensure the validation rules and reporting libraries matched their needs exactly.

The benefits that the FRS identified were almost immediate. Due to a more efficient reporting system, members of the community receive answers to their FOI requests more quickly. The introduction of validation rules has also improved the accuracy of the FRS’s data, which enables the FRS to proactively identify trends and address areas of concern, and target specific areas within the community that require safe and well visits.
The process on station to complete the form has become smoother, quicker and more accurate thanks to the validation rules. The data we get is invaluable in identifying risk areas in the community... and is extremely useful to our FRS.
