At Motorola Solutions, we don’t just listen to our customers’ problems – we immerse ourselves in them. 

It’s not uncommon for our employees to spend time with our customers on the job, days that can range from riding along with a police officer to scaling a utility pole. This immersive design approach allows employees to observe the challenges our customers face every day so we can come up with innovative solutions. 

It’s also one of the many reasons our talented employees stay with the company.

“Motorola Solutions appealed to me in terms of the work environment, the purpose, and the innovative things I saw the company was doing,” said Mariya Dayan, Motorola Solutions integrated marketing manager. 

For instance, one customer recently asked us to build a mapping application for its law enforcement officers. We learned through our immersive process that an officer needed to be able to see, visually, exactly how far away back-up was when responding to an incident. This insight influenced our design process and helped us meet the exact needs of our customer.
