Motorola Solutions Foundation

Charitable and philanthropic arm of Motorola Solutions

At Motorola Solutions, our work makes a difference in the critical moments that shape lives, businesses and the world, but our contributions don’t end there. Our company gives back to the communities where it operates through the Motorola Solutions Foundation.

About the Foundation

The Motorola Solutions Foundation, which has donated $100 million over the past 10 years, prioritizes support for first responders, technology and engineering education and underrepresented groups.

Our Purpose

We foster innovation and connect employees to organizations where they can drive meaningful change through strategic community investment and employee engagement. By supporting organizations that are creating safer cities and equitable, thriving communities – where people can truly be their best in the moments that matter – we help Motorola Solutions live out its purpose.

Our values

Our values drive everything we do. They represent the fundamental beliefs that we share and are the lens through which we evaluate our partners and guide our giving.

We promise to earn the trust of our communities by leading with integrity and fulfilling our commitments with the highest ethical standards.

Innovation

We’re committed to enhancing public safety and cultivating the next generation of innovators in technology and engineering.

Impact

We drive substantive change by measuring all we do, ensuring we focus on the right objectives and delivering impact outcomes aligned with our purpose.

Volunteerism

Enabling employees to give back

Your One in 2021

Motorolans are committed to helping their communities. As our volunteering theme for 2021, we’re asking employees to find their “one” unique way to give back - the one philanthropic passion, cause or organization that is close to their heart.

Organized service projects

The Foundation supports employees in their desire to give back – connecting them to organizations where they can drive change. We do this by facilitating group volunteer opportunities – from blood drives to robotics clubs – in their local communities.

Global Months of Service (GMoS)

The Foundation hosts an annual volunteerism competition in which teams around the world complete volunteer projects to generate donations to a selected nonprofit. In 2020, GMoS resulted in 14,000 volunteer hours and nearly $135,000 in donations.

Engagement Committees

Local Engagement Committees offer employees the opportunity to serve as site-specific volunteer ambassadors. Employees can organize service projects with local nonprofits, ensuring support for the communities in which we live and work.
