Transforming how Springfield-Greene County serves their community

Recently, we had the privilege of sitting down with April Ford, Director, and J.R. Webb, Assistant Director, for Springfield-Greene County 9-1-1 in southwest Missouri. Dedicated public safety professionals — April with 28 years, and J.R. with over 40 — they have reached a pivotal moment in how they serve their community: the successful deployment of the VESTA call routing service built on the NENA i3 architecture. 

Serving a population of 300,000, the Springfield-Greene County 9-1-1 center handles between 250,000 and 275,000 9-1-1 calls annually and dispatches for over twenty different public safety agencies.
