Washington State Patrol Live on PremierOne 3.2.1 CAD System

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – Aug. 26, 2013Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: MSI) announces a new go-live of PremierOne™ 3.2.1 computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system for the Washington State Patrol, including the implementation of PremierOne Responder Location and the ASTRO®25 Advanced Messaging Solution. All eight regional communication centers for Washington State Patrol are now live and operational on PremierOne CAD along with approximately 1,200 mobile users utilizing the Motorola Premier MDC (Mobile Data Computing) application.

A long-standing customer of Motorola, the Washington State Patrol required a solution that would help evolve current operations to a higher level of performance while providing a solid technology platform for the future. The implementation of Motorola’s Integrated Command and Control solution provides substantial improvement and access to mission-critical information, enhancing trooper safety and empowering officers to make faster, smarter decisions while introducing new, time-saving functionality to end-users.

  • Washington State Patrol serves a population of 6.9 million and is made up of more than 1,100 sworn troopers, nearly 1000 civilians and approximately 170 dispatchers. Managing more than one million calls for service each year; this is the largest CAD deployment to date for Washington State Patrol and represents one of the most visible technology programs within the organization’s history.

  • PremierOne is an enterprise-wide, public safety incident management system that achieves Washington State Patrol’s regional and statewide interoperability needs and provides a standards-based platform that intelligently automates dispatch workflows and data retrieval to simplify incident and resource management.

  • With end-to-end system integration including CAD, mobile data applications, radio systems and other mission-critical data resources, Washington State Patrol will better leverage its ASTRO® 25 Project 25 Land Mobile Radio system. It will also improve information sharing with first responders in the field, resulting in the highest level of situational awareness, coordination and collaboration.

  • PremierOne is a location-centric solution utilizing GIS industry leading Esri technology that enables dispatchers to accurately identify the location of the emergency, determine the best units to respond based on their capabilities and ETA to the incident and provides valuable incident situational awareness to help ensure the safety of the public and first responders.
