VIEVU Body-Worn Cameras Invaluable to Law Enforcement and Public
Orlando, Fla. (IACP, Motorola Solutions, Booth #2201) – Oct. 27, 2014 – Motorola Solutions brings you the VIEVU® LE3 body-worn camera for police officers to capture video and audio evidence directly at the point of engagement.
The Valdosta, Georgia, police department experienced instant benefits using the VIEVU camera. “These new wearable cameras have been well received, and almost immediately, they helped clear an officer during a complaint of excessive force. In light of recent complaints against law enforcement, they are invaluable to law enforcement and the public,” said Valdosta Chief of Police Brian Childress.
A study sponsored by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) indicates that 50 percent of complaints were immediately withdrawn when video evidence was used and 94 percent of citizens supported the use of video.
You can see the VIEVU LE3 camera in action at Motorola Solutions booth #2201 at IACP 2014.
