Motorola Solutions Provides 5 China Airports with TETRA Communications Solutions
BEIJING - April 24, 2014 - Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: MSI), a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions and services for enterprise and government customers, announced today that its cutting-edge 800MHz TETRA system has been deployed at five airports in China: Harbin Taiping International Airport, Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport, Ordos Airport, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and Nanjing Lukou International Airport. This helped the airports upgrade their conventional analog system to TETRA. Working with its partners Skyblue Aviation Technology Ltd., Motorola Solutions has provided those five airports with switches and base stations, as well as more than 3,000 terminals. This upgrade reflects the trend in the communication industry of migrating from analog to digital, which not only addresses the growing demand for radio communication, but also enhances system reliability and scalability to further increase the operational and administrative efficiency of airports.
