Motorola Solutions Helps Keep Public Safety and Support Staff Connected at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree
Motorola Solutions, designated a "proud supplier" of the 2013 National Scout Jamboree, is providing technology to help expand workforce communications for on-the-spot coordination during the event which runs from July 15-24 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve and neighboring counties in West Virginia. The West Virginia Statewide Interoperable Radio Network (SIRN) is using Motorola MCC 7100 IP Dispatch Consoles in the Glen Jean National Guard Armory for day-to-day operations and in support of the Jamboree. Capitalizing on the flexible deployment capabilities of the MCC 7100 Console, additional dispatch positions will also be located at the onsite command post in Summit Bechtel Reserve. These consoles, together with Motorola two-way radios and the SIRN Motorola ASTRO® 25 system, will provide public safety and support staff with the crucial close communication, ease of use, efficiency and improved safety needed for this important event. The 2013 Jamboree is expected to draw approximately 40,000 scouts and up to 7,000 support staff including volunteers from around the world.
