Motorola Solutions Launches WAVE PTX for Central America Companies whose Productivity is Always On

An instant workgroup communication solution that offers Push-to-talk (PTT) voice and data, allowing employees to stay connected, no matter where they are and which device or network they are using

Central America  – June 28, 2022 – Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) launches WAVE PTX, an instant communication service via broadband subscription, with nationwide coverage, allowing companies to connect their different work teams instantaneously and reliably in order to keep operations up and running, independent from network technology.

WAVE PTX™ is a flexible solution, designed to meet the operational needs of multiple industries no matter how complex or simple their operations are. It allows teams to stay connected even if they just need secure instant voice and data communication, or for those with more complex operations with the need to communicate with video, documents, localization and dispatch centers. Organizations that use two-way radio communications can expand their coverage and add data functionality by connecting to broadband networks.  

Many companies within the transportation and logistics, private security, manufacturing, construction, real estate and hospitality sectors are already transforming their communications capabilities globally with the help of this service. WAVE PTX offers PTT voice communications and secure data in real-time via any IP-network, allowing workers and their work teams to share images, documents, maps, messages and videos, and to stay connected using their usual devices (cellphones, tablets, notebooks, radios), no matter what network they are using.

This cloud-based solution, which works through cellular networks, can use any mobile device with Android or IOS, radios, rugged custom-designed devices or ones with a web dispatcher for PC, and allows for interoperability with two-way radio systems such as DMR and TETRA. It also includes the video streaming feature, which makes it possible for WAVE PTX users to continually stream video from their device at the push-of-a-button, allowing the audience, one-to-one or one-to-many, to view events and activities in real-time as they take place.

In addition to the application and its features, the solution has advanced dispatch software built-in that organizes and coordinates team communications, providing a comprehensive overview of all operations. This includes precise mapping tools to track the location of people and resources, which helps increase situational awareness and protect workers in times of emergency.

Motorola Solutions complements its WAVE PTX offering with TLK 100 (portable) and TLK150 (mobile), devices designed exclusively for this service, which optimizes the effectiveness and ease of use and facilitates interoperability with MOTOTRBO two-way radios systems.

The new devices have location tracking, 3G/4G/LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, voice announcement and incoming call identification. For greater comfort, the device can be configured remotely and "over-the-air" through a shared administration portal via web browser. The TLK 100's and TLK150’s robust design is based on military standards and is ready for use in nationwide broadband within Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama.
