Motorola Solutions wins four Good Design Australia awards
CHICAGO - Sept. 8, 2020 - Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) has claimed four awards at Australia’s peak international design awards, Good Design Australia.
The company earned the awards for its next generation of mission critical solutions in video and voice communications.
Two of the awards went to Motorola Solutions’ APX NEXT, purpose-built Smart Radio designed for emergency services and first responders to be launched in Australia and New Zealand in late 2020. One Good Design award was earned for the radio’s design and features with another being awarded for the APX NEXT Ownership Experience which provides a number of value added services to support the device.
Further cementing Motorola Solutions’ reputation as a mission critical communications leader, another award went to the WM500 WIreless PoC Remote Speaker Microphone which collaborates with a smartphone to provide push-to-talk communication over cellular networks.
Motorola Solutions rounded out its Good Design Award wins with a win for the H5M Outdoor Dome camera. The camera provides a budget-conscious video surveillance option for tough environmental conditions with advanced video analytics through Artificial Intelligence technology for faster response times.
Vice president for Motorola Solutions Australia and New Zealand, Con Balaskas, said the four awards collectively represented the company’s strengths in mission critical communications as well as its rapidly expanding capabilities in video security.
