Motorola Solutions Unveils Next Generation LTE Innovations for Mission-Critical Applications

BASINGSTOKE, UK – June 26, 2014 – Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI), a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions, has launched a new mission-critical handheld LTE device for public safety, the LEX755. With the new LEX755, Motorola presents an evolution of its award-winning LEX 700 series, redesigned with enhanced performance, security, user interface and ergonomics. The Motorola LEX755 has been purpose-built and optimised for first responders and reinforced to meet mission- critical requirements.
Using the advanced Security Enhanced (SE) version of the Android operating system, the mission-critical handheld provides users with a secure, robust and flexible platform for multimedia-rich applications and can be equipped with applications like unified push-to-talk, real-time video intelligence, and electronic forms for query and incident monitoring.
Motorola is also to announce the launch of its first Mission Critical Solutions Centre at its European headquarters in Basingstoke (UK). The unique Mission Critical Solutions Centre provides public safety users an insight into the future of public safety communications, which are undergoing a significant evolution from just voice to voice and data with the adoption of next-generation broadband networks and LTE technology, alongside TETRA digital radio networks, to provide mission critical communication solutions that will meet the needs of mission-critical and public safety organisations for voice, data and video.
