Motorola Solutions Unveils Latest Cutting-Edge Public Safety Solutions at BAPCO 2019/CC Europe 2019

New body-worn video solution, AI-based video analytics, cloud-based control room solution as well as latest Pronto digital policing application suite will be showcased at this year’s event

COVENTRY, UK – March 6, 2019 – Motorola Solutions will present its latest critical communications, video and analytics technology for future-leading public safety applications at the BAPCO Annual Conference & Exhibition 2019 (March 12-13, Ricoh Arena, Coventry, UK). The UK’s leading public safety event will be combined this year with TCCA’s Critical Communications Europe (CC Europe), Europe’s key annual critical communications event.

As a technology leader in mission-critical solutions, Motorola Solutions will present its next-generation digital policing and mission-critical communications ecosystem, including the newly launched Si200 Body-Worn Video Camera, which will be presented in Europe for the first time. Visitors will also be able to learn more about the Avigilon AI-based video analytics software as well as the CommandCentral control room solution, which facilitates a seamless transition to next-generation public safety control rooms. In addition Motorola Solutions will present its Pronto digital policing application suite and latest broadband push-to-talk (PTT) solutions.

“Public safety is undergoing a digital transformation. Law enforcement agencies are using data to go beyond reacting and responding, and they are looking for efficient and compliant ways to aggregate, integrate and share their digital content,” said Iain Clarke, senior vice president and general manager, Europe, Middle East and North Africa at Motorola Solutions. “By turning data into intelligence, public safety organisations can improve their preparedness and help keep cities and communities safer.”

EUROPEAN PREMIERE OF NEW BODY-WORN VIDEO CAMERA
At BAPCO and CC Europe 2019, Motorola Solutions will showcase its newly launched Si200 Body-Worn Video Camera for the first time in Europe. The Si200 integrates seamlessly with CommandCentral Vault, Motorola Solutions’ software solution for digital evidence management that enables agencies to efficiently and securely manage content from in-field capture to judicial sharing in one system. With its simple controls, a high-resolution camera and its rugged design, the body-worn video camera makes capturing evidence easy, so police officers can better focus on their mission. Digital evidence technologies and CommandCentral Vault can be integrated to simplify the process of tagging video, automating redaction, correlating video with incident information in police records and maintaining chain of custody when managing evidence.

INTEGRATED CONTROL ROOM SOLUTIONS FOR SEAMLESS COMMUNICATION
The CommandCentral software suite from Motorola Solutions helps public safety agencies and organisations work smarter and more efficiently. CommandCentral Aware aggregates and integrates video streaming, real-time alerts, advanced data analytics, resource tracking, social media analytics and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) into a single, intuitive interface. It allows operators and analysts in a control room to communicate actionable intelligence to field staff. The CommandCentral Control Room Solution from Motorola Solutions offers a seamless transition for control rooms as public safety organisations and agencies improve efficiencies by eliminating silos and streamline workflows. CommandCentral is available as software as a service (SaaS) and provides enhanced communication functionality to meet the needs of the emergency services.

AI-BASED VIDEO ANALYTICS
Motorola Solutions will also present its next-generation video and analytics solutions based on Avigilon Appearance Search™ technology and Avigilon Unusual Motion Detection (UMD) technology. Appearance Search™ technology includes a deep learning AI search engine that sorts through hours of video with ease to quickly locate a specific person or vehicle of interest. Operators can initiate a search for a person by selecting certain specific physical or personal descriptions, including clothing colour or gender. UMD is an advanced AI technology that brings a new level of automation to video analytics. Without any predefined rules or setup, the technology is able to continuously learn what typical activity in a scene looks like, and then detect and flag unusual events.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF POLICING
More than one-third of UK police forces are already benefiting from digital mobile policing with Motorola Solutions’ Pronto digital policing application suite. Pronto is proven to deliver significant operational and cost-related benefits in an easy-to-use software solution. It simplifies and streamlines disparate operational processes from time-consuming, paper-based and resource-intensive systems into an efficient, effective, mobile and interconnected solution – removing the burden of managing essential information and putting the power back into the hands of frontline users.
