Motorola Solutions’ PartnerEmpower™ Program Expanded to Include Application Partners
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – June 4, 2012 – Motorola Solutions’ (NYSE: MSI) products combined with the latest innovative software applications can result in powerful solutions to deliver a strong return on investment for our enterprise customers. To support the development of best-in-class applications and drive new levels of synergy between its large reseller base and application developers, Motorola has made its PartnerEmpower™ Program available to companies that develop their own applications for mobile solutions and converged communications products.
Through PartnerEmpower, Motorola will help its Application Partners streamline the application development process and bring stronger solutions to market, faster. Motorola’s new Application Partner Community will recognize, differentiate and reward Application Partners and Solution Partners that develop, cultivate and drive Motorola hardware opportunities through their software solutions. The expansion of the program to include application developers is a key step in Motorola’s strategy to encompass all of its varied channels under a single channel partner program—and comes at a time when customers are increasingly looking for end-to-end solutions that encompass hardware, software and services.
Motorola is also unveiling enhancements to the Wireless Network Solutions (WNS) Specialization, one of three program specializations for PartnerEmpower resellers in North America. Participation in the WNS Specialization is now based on four different technology segments: Converged Communication (TEAM), Wireless Local Area Networks, Wireless Outdoor Networks and Wireless Security. Specialization members now participate in one or more of these segments, depending on the technology focus of their business. Through this new structure, Motorola will be better able to recognize channel partners for their investments made in developing expertise in certain technologies.
Introduced in 2010, Motorola’s PartnerEmpower Program is the foundation of a global network of channel partners that brings new opportunities for collaboration in delivering customer solutions.
Companies that are participating in the current PartnerSelect Program for independent software vendors (ISVs) are in the process of transitioning into PartnerEmpower as Application Partners.
PartnerEmpower enables channel partners to differentiate themselves in the marketplace through their expertise. Application Partners can earn the status of Application Specialist or Application Elite Specialist by meeting application testing criteria and achieving certification, among other criteria.
The program helps Application Partners build their business and develop applications more effectively through benefits including financial rewards for influencing sales opportunities, inclusion in an application demo library, access to Motorola engineers for solution testing, field marketing support, early access to new products, and more.
This week, Motorola is hosting APPFORUM AMERICAS 2012, its first North America developer conference, which will feature more than 40 informative technical sessions on the latest tools, platforms, products and technologies.
All online resources to WNS Specialization members will now be delivered through PartnerCentral, which replaces the WNS partner portal and allows members access to wireless product information, program resources and much more.
