Motorola Solutions’ Juliann Larimer and Karen Olson Named to CRN’s Women of the Channel Power 100
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – June 9, 2014 – Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: MSI) today announced that Juliann Larimer, vice president of North America marketing, and Karen Olson, global PartnerEmpower program manager, have been named to the CRN 2014 Women of the Channel list, and have been recognized as two of this year’s Power 100. The annual Women of the Channel list highlights the accomplishments of female executives within vendor, distribution and solution provider organizations, and the impact they are having on the advancement of the IT Reseller industry. This year, the Power 100 spotlights those female executives at vendor and distributor organizations whose insight and influence in their respective companies help drive channel success.
Motorola’s PartnerEmpower™ program rewards channel partners for their investment in developing the highly specialized skill sets needed to sell, design, implement and deploy innovative mobility and communications solutions. Last year, Larimer and Olson led efforts to streamline and simplify the PartnerEmpower program so that partners could more easily understand the program and grow with Motorola. Olson instituted new partner enablement tools to help partners gain better visibility into their relationship with Motorola and drive better business discussions. Larimer launched a new website that made it easier for customers to identify the best partners available for specific applications and vertical markets.
“It is our privilege to acknowledge the exceptional achievements of the women in this year’s Power 100,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “We are committed to raising the visibility of the contributions of women in the channel, and we applaud the far-reaching influence of these executives who are defining today’s channel and helping to shape its future.”
“Karen and I are honored to be recognized by CRN as Power 100 Women of the Channel. We have been fortunate to have strong alignment and internal support for our vision of the channel, and this award is a reflection of Motorola’s commitment to our partner ecosystem,” Larimer said.
A special feature of the Women of the Channel is in the June issue of CRN magazine and expanded coverage of the Power 100 will be featured online at www.crn.com.
