Motorola Solutions Foundation Sparks an Interest in Science through Viva Technology Day Sponsorship
The Motorola Solutions Foundation sponsored three Chicago Area schools in a program designed to promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) career awareness for middle and high school students. Students from Keller Regional Gifted Center (Chicago, Ill.), Benito Juarez Community Academy (Chicago, Ill.) and Mundelein High School (Mundelein, Ill.) benefited from the program.
On April 8, 2011, Motorola Solutions hosted a session for Benito Juarez Community Academy at the company headquarters in Schaumburg, Ill. Motorola Solutions employee guest speakers Shelly Carlin, senior vice president, human resources and Eduardo Conrado, senior vice president, chief marketing officer kicked off the event which included a team challenge to develop awareness of STEM careers and a tour of the Motorola Solutions Innovation Center.
