Motorola Solutions Demonstrates Commitment to Women in Engineering and Technology at SWE’s WE19 Conference

At Motorola Solutions, we’re committed to advancing the engineering and technology education and expertise of female innovators.

Our global Women’s Business Council works closely with members of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the world’s largest advocate and catalyst for change for women in engineering and technology, to create an inclusive, flexible culture that connects and empowers female employees of all levels to grow and maximize their impact. As of 2019, Motorola Solutions has more than 140 employees that belong to SWE.

To continue our commitment, the Motorola Solutions Foundation provided SWE with a $91,000 (USD) grant this year in honor of the company’s 91st anniversary. The gift follows the Foundation’s first-of-its-kind donation of $90,000 USD in 2018 that enabled SWE to launch a global scholarship program that built on decades of stewarding scholarship programs focused primarily in the U.S. Through the Foundation’s annual grant program, Motorola Solutions’ charitable arm also awards a $75,000 grant to support female high school students with educational engineering courses.

During the Society of Women Engineers’ WE19 conference happening Nov. 7 to 9 in Anaheim, California, a team of 90 Motorola Solutions employees will showcase the company’s engineering and technology roles at career fair booth #1826, lead hands-on activities with students and feature our mission-critical communications technology in the STEM Outreach Expo at booth #600 and meet with women interested in learning more about the company’s work at the SWE networking lounge.

To learn more about working at Motorola Solutions, our commitment to supporting women in engineering and technology careers and how we’re advancing mission-critical communications around the world, connect with our team at WE19.
