Motorola Solutions contributes USD 50,000 to the families of Police officers through its ‘Share Love Program’
Seoul, Korea – October 30, 2012 - Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: MSI), has extended a contribution of USD 50,000 to the Police Mutual Aid Association (PMAA) to support the families of police officers who have died in the line of duty.
The presentation took place on October 29, at Motorola Solutions Korea headquarters in Yangjae, Seoul, in the presence of Park Jae-hyun, general director of User Relations of the Police Mutual Aid Association (PMAA) and Choi Kun-sang, country manager of Motorola Solutions Korea.
Celebrating its fifth year, the ‘Share Love program’ is a part of Motorola Solutions Foundation’s global corporate social responsibility initiative and provides funding to assist the families of public safety officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the security and safety of the local community.
The Share Love Program aims to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by police officers who have died in the line of duty by providing financial support to the bereaved families. In particular, families with elderly members and children are prioritized in terms of selection, which is announced by the National Police Agency (NPA) and the PMAA. Furthermore, red-ginseng gift sets were given to each family with the intent to provide comfort for the coming winter season.
In an effort to address critical needs of communities around the world, Motorola Solutions Foundation has offered product and financial support for disaster relief efforts across the globe, including: Australian floods, New Zealand earthquake, U.S. Texas wildfires, Japanese Tsunami, Brazilian mudslides and flood relief in Thailand.
