Motorola Solutions Announces New Country President for Singapore
Recent appointee will also lead Asia Pacific Solutions Sales to drive transformational business results for enterprise customers
Singapore, June 14 , 2012 – Motorola Solutions (NYSE:MSI) today announced that it has appointed Ms Grace Ho as the new Country President for Singapore. She will succeed Lim Boon Cheong, who served in the position since Motorola Solutions came into existence as a standalone company in Jan 2011.
In her capacity as Singapore country lead, Ms Ho will determine Motorola Solutions Singapore’s market strategy and ensure the speedy and effective delivery of solutions for local customers. She will also coordinate in-country governance, compliance, and drive community and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in Singapore, with responsibility for Motorola Solutions’ relationship with local government officials and industry partnerships.
Ms Ho has also been appointed to lead the Asia Pacific Solutions Sales organization where she will oversee enterprise vertical development including retail, supply chain and healthcare sectors. She will manage a team of domain experts, solutions architects and managed services engagement managers to deliver mobility solutions aligned with customers’ strategic business needs and help them achieve transformational business results.
Key Facts:
• Ms Ho joined Motorola Solutions in January 2010 as its Asia-Pacific Healthcare Solutions business lead and helped define its market entry strategies, building a strong market presence for MSI in the region. She has successfully contributed to driving thought leadership for mobility technologies in the healthcare sector, and developed a core community of Healthcare Partners to bring MSI Enterprise Mobility Solutions to market.
• Having spent 18 years in enterprise solutions and IT, Ms Ho has held global, regional and local positions in Product Management, Enterprise Solutions Sales, Business Segment Marketing and Corporate Strategy. Her experience and deep industry engagement with customers, partners as well as independent software vendors in healthcare segment has further deepened MSI’s insights into enterprise solutions development for current and future needs.
• Ms Ho is also an elected member of HL7 Singapore Executive Committee. HL7 plays a pivotal role in driving health IT interoperability and standardization. She is also an elected member of the Executive Council and Director on the Board of Hong Kong eHealth Consortium Ltd, a non-profit organization chartered to promote the use of IT as a key enabler in healthcare. In 2005 to 2006, she served in Singapore IT Federation (SiTF) as an Executive Committee member of the Wireless Chapter.
• Grace holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The Australian Graduate School of Management, University of New South Wales. She also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry from The National University of Singapore and is Six Sigma certified.
