Sep 18, 2014, Beijing——The Motorola Solutions Foundation today donated US$40,000 (around RMB 250,000) to children of Chinese police officers injured and martyred in action through the China Police Martyrs and Heroes Foundation. The fund will go to covering the children’s education and living expenses. The members representing of the China Police Martyrs and Heroes Foundation and Motorola Solutions attended the donation ceremony held in Yushu, Qinghai Province, and distributed financial aids to representatives of the children of the injured and martyred police officers.
The society has always deeply cared about the wellbeing and development of children of the fallen police officers. In 2003, the Ministry of Public Security established China Police Martyrs and Heroes Foundation to provide care to affected families through donations from individuals and organizations both domestically and abroad. The foundation also drives the development of the police pension and memorial fund system as well as improving risk protection mechanism for polices. This is the first time that Motorola Solutions Foundation has cooperated with China Police Martyrs and Heroes Foundation, the program will distribute a financial aid of RMB1,000-2,000 per child in China’s western provinces. With plans to implement the program in the long-term, Motorola Solutions will do its best to help the children of the injured and martyred police officers by improving their study and living conditions.
Motorola Solutions Foundation is dedicated to promoting public safety, disaster relief, employee programs and education.
