New in PremierOne Records - Release 4.6.3

We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.6.3! To upgrade your system, reach out to your tier three support manager.

Show Digital Evidence Upload Date

Officers need to know when an attachment was added to a Case Folder, without having to drill into the subfolder to view the upload date. This new feature shows the original date a file was added to the Case Folder alongside the evidence links.

Display Postal City

When mailing something to an incident address you must first enter and verify the postal city in areas where the jurisdiction and postal city are not the same. This manual process can be very time consuming and requires a lot of manual entry. This new feature enables users to determine the mailing address - including the postal city - from the address in the case report. When an address is changed in PremierOne Records and the new address is validated against the CAD geo file, the validated address will now include the postal city from the computer-aided dispatch system.

Combine Victim Info Into One Booking

If your state requires victims of specific crimes to be notified when the suspect is released, corrections officers have to know who to notify. This can be difficult when the victims may be from different incidents. Corrections officers can now easily notify all victims of the suspect’s release from jail, even if they are victims of separate incidents. When a booking sheet is entered, the software looks for other incidents with the same suspect and pulls the victim information from those other incidents and adds them to the booking record.

Seal Specific Case Folder Attachments

An order to seal a record may apply to only some attachments in the Case Folder. Failure to seal these attachments violates court orders and creates a liability risk to your agency. This feature allows officers to select specific attachments that need to be sealed in a Case Folder.

New in PremierOne Records - Release 4.6.2

We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.6.2! To upgrade your system, reach out to your tier three support manager.

Free Cloud Enhancements for your PremierOne System

CommandCentral capabilities are a collection of cloud-based enhancements, designed to be paired with PremierOne Records. These capabilities are connected to your on-premises system to automatically share data. We give you access to the software at no cost; you simply pay for any additional digital evidence storage needed. This quarter, we are happy to announce that we’ve added secure, cloud sharing to this free PremierOne Records enhancement. Check out the CommandCentral capabilities available for your system:

Cloud Backup and Restore

Begin your cloud journey by storing a backup of your data in the cloud. This not only mitigates the risk of data loss, but is also cost-effective and eliminates the need to invest in redundant hardware. Only the most recent data backup is stored, but there are no backup frequency limits. The storage for the data backup is unlimited.

Field Capture Application

Enable officers to capture images, video and audio on scene with a smartphone application for Android or iOS. For easy data management, automatically add metadata and tags from the app. All evidentiary data is isolated from personal data, preventing tampering and preserving the chain of custody so you never need to subpoena devices. Evidence is seamlessly uploaded to CommandCentral for immediate use in the digital evidence management system or Consolidated Record View. Officers can also dictate their primary narrative directly from the app. The audio file is automatically transcribed and uploaded to the Consolidated Record View as the primary incident narrative, saving valuable time.

Unified Search

Centralizing your agency’s data in the cloud makes it easier to find the information you need faster with a free-text, internet-like search across all agency data. You can even save frequent searches so they dynamically update with new content.

Integrated Digital Evidence Management

Our integrated digital evidence management software is a source-agnostic solution. This helps streamline all of your digital evidence into one, secure location, including body-worn camera and in-car video footage, third party applications, and native Motorola Solutions applications. You can more easily manage digital evidence directly from the CommandCentral Evidence application, but you can also think of this solution as an integrated module within the PremierOne Records Case Folder. Any attachments uploaded to PremierOne Records are automatically stored in CommandCentral Evidence to save on-premises storage space. You’ll get 250 GB of free storage, and additional storage can be purchased as needed. Evidence that is directly ingested into CommandCentral Evidence can be associated with the incident using our correlation engines, making evidence automatically available within the Case Folder and organized by source for streamlined case review.

Consolidated Record View

The Consolidated Record View is an intuitive, new experience to supplement your PremierOne Records Case Folder. By compiling all incident information and case digital evidence into a unified, incident-based view, users can quickly understand a case by accessing everything they need in one place. This is also an easy way for your agency’s Chief, Deputy Chief, Sheriff, or Undersheriff to periodically review case information, without having to install or navigate to PremierOne Records.

NEW! Secure, Electronic Case Sharing

From the Consolidated Record View, you can quickly and securely share case information with key partners ‒ both within your agency and externally with the community, other agencies and prosecutors. We recognize that quickly sharing case information with prosecutors is a particular pain point for agencies. CommandCentral capabilities now includes Judicial Sharing, so you can offer prosecutors a sharing experience designed for their needs. This dedicated prosecutor page allows judicial partners to access all the content shared with them ‒ even from multiple agencies ‒ from one, secure location.

Insights Dashboard

Receive curated, actionable insights to help solve cases faster, recognize crime trends and share success metrics across your agency. The Insights Dashboard includes three features: Crime Trend Alerts, Workflow Cards, and Project Cards. Crime Trend Alerts help recognize emerging crime patterns and dive deeper into the data to understand why it is occurring. They also help officers prioritize potential crime hotspots and see which areas are most affected. Workflow Cards provide instant access to items that need attention, review, correction or completion. Officers can share topics, reply to messages and share documents to promote collaboration within the dashboard. Project Cards help manage key initiatives, such as training and collaborative planning. Supervisors can track progress and capture success metrics.

Pin Mapping

Pin Mapping provides PremierOne Records users with the ability to easily map a case report search to a map. This visualization allows users to see where a particular crime occurred, as well as other crimes around it, for more informed crime fighting decisions. The corresponding consolidated record view in CommandCentral can be opened from the map, providing all relevant details and associated digital evidence.

New in PremierOne Records - Release 4.6.1

We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.6.1! To upgrade your system, reach out to your tier three support manager.

Case Folder Management Enhancement - Easily Track Down Missing Reports

When case reports aren’t created or get stuck in the workflow, this new feature makes it easier to identify these issues, locate the stalled case report, and resolve the issue.

A few new tools are available in both the Case Management Screen and Case Folder List Screen. A counter indicates the number of days since the folder was created without a case report.

There is also a column that shows the current workflow and a column that counts the number of days the report has been in its current workflow status, indicating it may be stalled. If the workflow status does not have a number of days listed, the counter will not run.

Finally, the owner of the case report is listed so the issue can be addressed and the case can move forward and be ready when citizens or investigators request the completed case report.

Synchronize PremierOne Records with CommandCentral Jail

The Master Name Record in PremierOne Records can now sync with CommandCentral Jail, keeping your patrol officers more informed during arrests.

Your police department needs current and accurate information on arrested persons. Now, patrol officers can be more informed during arrests by syncing PremierOne Records data with CommandCentral Jail.

Attributes added to PremierOne Records tables are synchronized with the appropriate table in CommandCentral Jail. When a person is in custody, their named record will have a custody flag to indicate if they have a record in CommandCentral Jail.

Add Victims to Pre-Booking - Notify Victims When an Offender is Released

Provide an additional measure of safety by notifying when an offender is released from Jail. In some states, this is required by law. We’ve now made this process easier by automating these notifications.

The victim information is pulled from the report in PremierOne Records and sent to the Jail to be included in booking information. When an offender is released, any victims listed from the report are electronically notified.

Improve Productivity Through Evidence Integration

Improve productivity by integrating CommandCentral Vault with your PremierOne Records System. Evidence is viewable directly from the case report via an integrated module.

New in PremierOne Records - Release 4.6

We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.6! To upgrade your system, reach out to your tier three support manager.

Security Setting for Removing Case Folder Items - Prevent Orphan Case Reports

When items are removed from the case folder, but not the records system, it results in orphan case reports. To help with data management and avoid orphan reports, a security setting has been added to prevent items from being removed from case folders without permission.

The system administrator sets predefined permissions and enables specific users to grant temporary permission to other users. They can set the start and end date of that permission.

Flag Important Content

This feature is available for PremierOne Records customers who also have CommandCentral Vault

Case folders can have hundreds of files associated with the case. This new feature enables you to flag important content among the sea of digital evidence, making it easier to review the case and find the most important evidence quickly.

Easily find and flag important content to make case-related media easily consumable and presented in a more meaningful way. Flagged content is marked with a star and featured more prominently in the case folder, so you can quickly come up to speed on the case by reviewing the most important content first. Content can be unflagged if you no longer want it featured.

For example, unnamed.jpg is flagged as a particularly important file.

Multiple files can be flagged.

New in PremierOne Records - Release 4.5.3

We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.5.3! To upgrade your system, reach out to your tier three support manager.

Eliminate Keystrokes, Find the Information You Need - Faster

This new feature enables PremierOne Suite users to reuse data previously entered in PremierOne CAD without re-entering in the Records Call For Service document. This ensures data entry occurs one time, correctly and in as few clicks as possible - saving officers time. With this release, the following fields are mapped and brought forward:

  • Caller Information: Name, Phone #, Address, City

  • Suspect Information: Full Name (First, Middle and last), Date of Birth/Age, Physical description (Age, Height, Weight, Build, Hair Color, Eye Color, DLN, DL State), Address, City, Phone

  • Vehicle Information: License Plate Number, License State, Year, Make and Model, Color, VIN

This feature is enabled and then configured in the Advanced Configuration Tool (ACT) in two phases:

The first step maps the Records Document Fields to the Query Criteria Fields. For documents with query mapping configured, you can select if a query button displays next to the mapped fields. Users click the icon to populate query criteria using the data from the mapped fields.

The second step maps the query responses to be pulled into the Records document using the “Pull Forward” button.

This functionality requires the following prerequisites:

  • A PremierOne Suite environment.
  • The QueryCriteriaMappings and QueryResponseMappings feature flags must be enabled for PremierOne Records. Contact your Motorola Solutions Engineering team for assistance.
  • In the Advanced Configuration Tool (ACT), the Query Criteria Mapping and Query Response Mapping wizards must be completed for each document that you want to configure the Query feature in. These features are configured using the valid Suite User credentials (a suite user with appropriate permissions).

CommandCentral Extension for PremierOne Records

CommandCentral is our cloud-based software platform. Motorola Solutions designed a CommandCentral Extension specifically for agencies with PremierOne Records to provide access to features that expedite case review and resolution, improve data quality and integrity, streamline digital evidence collection and management, and provide insight for data-driven decision making. With this enhancement, you can configure a link to open in a browser or in the client. For example, create a link to launch CommandCentral Records Extension Unified Search functionality, access CommandCentral Vault or even LEARN facial recognition applications. Adding direct links to CommandCentral from the lobby brings the ecosystem tighter together - reducing the number of clicks and simplifying workflows.

Data Pre-Population Enhancement

This feature is for PremierOne Suite users to be able to reuse previously entered data in PremierOne CAD.

  • Vehicle Information: License Plate Number, License State,Year, Make and Model, Color, VIN

This feature is enabled and then configured in Advanced Configuration Tool (ACT) in two phases. The first step maps the Records document fields to the query criteria fields. In a document with query mapping configured, you can select if a Query button displays next to fields that are mapped.

Users click the icon to launch a query using the data from the mapped fields to populate query criteria.

Contact your Motorola Solutions Engineering team for assistance
  • In Advanced Configuration Tool (ACT), the Query Criteria Mapping and Query Response Mapping wizards must be completed for each document that you want to configure the Query feature in. These features are configured using the valid Suite User credentials (a suite user with appropriate permissions).

Temporary Security Groups/Assignments

Agency personnel can be assigned different shifts and duties, and may need a different set of roles or permissions to perform their assignment during that time. For example, during a large scale investigation or incident response, or when people call in sick. With this release, agency personnel can be temporarily granted permissions to a specific security group for temporary assignment. Users with this temporary assignment group can make temporary assignments. Temporary assignments have an expiration date.

The Temporary Assignment feature flag must be enabled for the agency. Contact Motorola Solutions Engineering for assistance.

Order Dependency: Create the security groups (modify existing) that are members of the temporary admin role first, then create the temporary admin Group.

We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.5.1! To upgrade your system, reach out to your tier three support manager.

Data Pre-Population Enhancement ‒ State Level Query

To save you time, the latest Data Pre-Population Enhancement enables you to reuse the data already in a report to pre-populate officer queries. If you currently have PremierOne CAD, you now have the ability to run queries on individuals, vehicles and property and check BOLO, CAD, agency, or state records for information.

Once the setup is complete in CAD using the CAD Provisioning Tool, and in Records using the Advanced Configuration Tool, you can modify the existing module to set up “Query Criteria Mapping”. You can then select the magnifying glass in PremierOne Records to run a query using the pre populated data, saving you time and resources.

Other New Features Now Available

Permissions set for PremierOne Records users will now provide access to applicable CommandCentral products and features. This will facilitate a more seamless experience when transitioning between PremierOne Records and CommandCentral.

Address Verification Enhancements

Previously, for incidents sent from PremierOne CAD with verified addresses containing beat information, the beat information was not pulled into the Records document. With release 4.5.0.1, when an address is changed or added in an incident record and then validated, it will now automatically populate in the beat for better analysis later on. This information displays in the document as well as the Master Location record. PremierOne Records can pull through the beat of the incident location based on address verification from PremierOne CAD. This enables easier analysis later on of crime data without manual classification.

IBR Updates

We have updated our IBR rules to support changes in the Indiana and Missouri standards.

Case collaboration capabilities have now been extended to CommandCentral Vault! This new feature enhances multi-agency review and collaboration capabilities on cases from a neighboring jurisdiction. Access and viewing permissions will follow existing rules that have been set in PremierOne Records.

Narrative Transcription Support (Beta)

Complete incident reports faster by recording a statement in the Capture App or Si500 Body-worn Camera and CommandCentral will transcribe it into your narrative. Record an audio statement and tag it with an incident number and as a narrative. Once uploaded, CommandCentral will transcribe the audio and automatically populate it into the case folder as a narrative within PremierOne Records, as well as the CommandCentral Incident Record. Please reach out to customer support if you would like to try this beta feature.

Cloud Settings Simplification

The cloud configuration process has been simplified in order for Tier 3 support to more easily connect you to CommandCentral and new cloud-based capabilities. We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.5! To upgrade your system reach out to your tier three support manager.

CommandCentral for PremierOne Records - Find the Information You Need - Faster

While searching in PremierOne is very detailed and sophisticated, do you ever just need something that is quick and easy? Find the information you need - faster - with a simplified free-text search of all your agency’s data.

CommandCentral Unified Search is a new CommandCentral add-on feature available to PremierOne Records users for finding the information they need - faster. It is available by going to records.commandcentral.com or can be accessed through a direct link found in the PremierOne Records lobby.

Upon entering the CommandCentral Unified Search experience, users are presented with a familiar, simple search bar. They simply must enter their desired search criteria whether it be a name, report number, license plate or any other identifying content. CommandCentral will then conduct a search across all agency data and using artificial intelligence will identify the most relevant results. For more granular control, users can filter the results by information type i.e. Persons, Vehicles or Reports to find more specifically what they are looking for.

CommandCentral Unified Search can be provisioned for multiple personas to be used throughout their workflow. For example, during a routine traffic stop an officer can search for the history of a specific vehicle; a records clerk can search for a person to ensure that their information is correct; a detective can search for potentially related cases while investigating another case.

Multi-Part Name Management: Ensure Accurate, Consistent Recording

Individuals with names that fall outside of a first, middle, last naming convention aren’t able to be properly documented leading to inconsistent data. With our new multi-part name management capabilities you can now specify name fields for a person to ensure accurate recording.

Multi-part name management functionality is being introduced in order to provide you with more flexibility in documenting persons so you can reduce complexity and improve record accuracy. For persons with four or more names, users will simply be able to specifically identify first, middle or last name fields when they are creating the person record.

This will help minimize the risk of duplicate person records being created for the same individual, using different parts of their name. These fields are also searchable just as the existing first, middle and last name fields are ensuring that the individual can be found in the system no matter which part of the name users are given.

Navigation Enhancements

We added a button within the case folder interface to minimize clicks to get to the CommandCentral Incident Record experience which we introduced in PremierOne Records 4.4.0.2.

User Interface Update - New Skin

The user interface is currently being updated to our next-generation design that provides a more modern and pleasant user experience. The PremierOne Records 4.5 release is a phase one update that includes font changes. Next, we will be working on the icons. The new skin can be found in the existing skin menu.

Rollback ACT Items

Reduce the risk of mistakes with the ability to now rollback and permanently delete outdated or incorrect forms developed with ACT. The modification wizard now also includes a comments section to indicate changes that were made and why.

California ECARs Update

For our California customers, we have updated our reporting capabilities to reflect new ECARs requirements.

New in PremierOne Records - Release 4.4.0.3

We're excited to announce the availability of PremierOne Records 4.4.0.3! To upgrade your system reach out to your tier three support manager.

The CommandCentral Pin Map: Better Prepare to Fight Crime

With PremierOne Records there hasn’t been a way to visualize information geospatially which could help your team better understand crime better patterns and context to incidents. We’ve heard you loud and clear and are happy to introduce the CommandCentral Pin Map. This is a new CommandCentral feature available for free to augment your PremierOne Records experience. It allows you to map case report search results to better identify trends and prepare officers for their shift.

The CommandCentral Pin Mapping feature provides better understanding of crime and quicker comparison of incidents. It can be invaluable for patrol officers when they come back on duty to see incidents, by location of occurrence, on a map to help determine where the focus of their patrol should be and have context to any follow up they are assigned. Shift supervisors can also find it helpful during shift briefing, to show their shift a map of what has happened during the previous shifts to prepare them as they go out on the road.

To utilize the CommandCentral Pin Map, you must upgrade to PremierOne Records 4.4.0.3 and request the feature flag be activated. Users then must be provisioned for the feature by the system admin. Once provisioned, users can run a case report search in PremierOne Records and choose to map the search results by clicking ‘Open Map’ in the search results toolbar.

Upon clicking, a web-browser window will open up, launching the CommandCentral Pin Map. From the map, the user will see the search results plotted according to the incident location information associated with the case.

A list of case reports is provided on the CommandCentral Pin Map. The case report list will include details such as report type, location, reporting officer, case number, date and time and if the case was not mapped it will indicate that as well. Case reports will only plot on the map if the address of occurrence is validated and include a latitude and longitude

Users can click ‘View’ on any incident in the list which will open up the CommandCentral Incident Record for that case, a feature released with PremierOne Records 4.4.0.2.

South Carolina IBR Updates

For our South Carolina customers, we have updated our IBR reporting capabilities to address new changes in South Carolina policy so you can maintain compliance without complexity.

Automated Expungement

Certain drug offenses, as dictated by the state of Illinois law, can now be automatically expunged per state guidelines in order to minimize the manual processes and inefficiency of purging records.

Case Folder Enhancement

Digital evidence associated from CommandCentral Vault will be grouped into subfolders by it’s originating source to aid in organization. Integrated 3rd party systems will also create their own subfolder.

CommandCentral Incident Record Enhancement

Now, rather than just reviewing information, users can create primary and supplementary narratives from the CommandCentral Incident Record in order to streamline their reporting process.
