Motorola EDGE is a whole-home service assurance solution suite designed to enable visibility, remote management and quality assurance of today's complex digital home network. It supplies broadband service providers with a family of customer care applications for the evolving home network.

By deploying EDGE, service providers can more efficiently activate, provision, maintain and support all broadband services in a multi-screen digital home, while simultaneously reducing their overall operational costs and accelerating the introduction of new high revenue service offerings whilst providing a differentiated customer care experience.

Motorola EDGE Service Assurance Software Suite enables our broadband service provider customers to provide their subscribers with a differentiated end-user experience. As the digital home evolves so does its support burden and support costs. Service providers want to avoid and shorten lengthy support calls and to reduce expensive truck rolls; EDGE provides the tools operators need to do this. It enables service providers to remotely manage services and devices, extend management into the home network,enhance Help Desk customer care troubleshooting and provides tools for multi- screen consumer self-help. Futhermore, Motorola EDGE promotes retention of high-value subscribers. Subscribers may respond to various advanced IP-based solutions but ultimately it's the quality of service—both from the technology itself and in terms of customer service—that will keep subscribers in place.

EDGE provides broadband service providers with increased visibility into the home network and provides them with ability to automate activation and troubleshoot a myriad of standards-based connected devices within the home. Motorola’s EDGE Manager—a field-proven application for broadband service providers, with more than 20 million devices worldwide currently under management—is a multi-protocol management solution that supports Broadband Forum's TR-069, SNMP, OMA-DM,WIB, Telnet and HTTP DL Server protocols.
  • eCare - a support center application enabling HelpDesk agents to have user authorized remote access or control of customer desktops for real-time diagnostics and delivery of scripts, that can automatically reconfigure browser, email or other settings—with a push of a button.
  • MotoPLYR - a diagnostic application for IPTV Set-tops from Motorola and some select third-party vendors, allowing real-time self-diagnostics and reporting.

Motorola’s EDGE Manager can further be enhanced with the addition of a number of optional modules to assist operators with future service expansions, including:
